WW+P Architects Expands into UAE and Saudi Arabia with Strategic Focus on Infrastructure and Urban Development
London-based architecture and urban design firm WW+P Architects has announced its plans to significantly expand into the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets, bringing over 40 years of global infrastructure expertise to support the region’s ambitious development goals.
WW+P, formerly known as Weston Williamson + Partners, is a global practice of more than 200 architects and planners across nine international studios. The firm specializes in transportation, transit-oriented development, masterplanning, and urban regeneration—areas that align closely with the national visions for sustainable urban growth in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Supporting National Infrastructure Goals
The firm is already engaged in delivering design services for transport hubs in the region, including concept to detailed designs and tender documentation. WW+P is also contributing to early-stage high-speed rail concepts, developing proposals for iconic, high-capacity sub-surface stations that integrate seamlessly with emerging master plans and reflect the local architectural identity.
A Global Portfolio of Award-Winning Projects
WW+P’s international work includes major transport infrastructure projects such as:
-
Paddington Elizabeth Line Station in London, UK – an award-winning project that redefined the commuter experience.
-
Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project in Australia – a transformative rail project delivering twin 9km tunnels and five new stations, due to open in late 2025.
These global successes position the firm as a trusted expert in urban mobility, connectivity, and placemaking.
Strategic Integration with 10N Collective
WW+P is part of the 10N Collective, a global consortium of architecture and urbanism experts under the Egis Group umbrella. The collective includes renowned practices such as 10 Design, SvN, U+A, Omrania, Fenwick Iribarren Architects, and others—all with a shared focus on urban policy, transport infrastructure, hospitality, commercial development, and residential projects.
Regional Expansion and Future Outlook
Neil Baker, Managing Director for the Middle East at WW+P, stated:
“As we expand our foothold in the Middle East, we find ourselves motivated by the region’s ambitious goals for urban infrastructure and sustainability. Our global expertise and emphasis on innovation and collaboration position us to contribute meaningfully to transformative projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, especially as we celebrate our 40th anniversary this year.”
In 2025, the firm will mark four decades of architectural innovation through international events and announcements, using this milestone as a springboard for growth in the region.
WW+P’s expansion strategy includes industry visits, media outreach, and regional partnerships aimed at deepening engagement with key stakeholders in both countries.
As urban transformation continues to accelerate across the Gulf, WW+P is set to play a pivotal role in shaping future-ready infrastructure that reflects the region’s cultural identity, sustainability ambitions, and long-term development plans.
