GAC Dubai Wins FMCG Supply Chain Of The Year Award Again

For the 2nd consecutive year, GAC Dubai has been called the FMCG Supply Chain of the Year in the remarkable Logistics Middle East Honors. The 2018 award, like in 2015's, recognizes the company's outstanding service to the Middle East's busy Quick Relocating Durable goods (FMCG) field.

The win recognises GAC Dubai's treatments, training and innovation deployed in making sure a smooth, safe and efficient cool chain and consistent commitment to offering top-notch supply chain management services to the sector.

The accolade was received by Neil McMaster, General Manager of Contract Logistics, that states: "Fast-moving sectors like food and drinks require rate, accuracy and fast feedback. GAC Dubai has, again, verified its capacities to satisfy all these and more. This award is a recognition of the team job, commitment and innovative spirit that have long been the trademark of GAC."

GAC has been a pioneer in FMCG supply chain management Middle East for a quarter of a century. It opened the Middle East's very first Distribution Centre in Dubai in 1993 and today, the 103,000 sqm GAC Logistics Park in the Jebel Ali Free Zone continues to be one of the biggest and most advanced in the region. The front runner Distribution Centre has over 50,000 sqm of warehousing room devoted to food & drink and other FMCG cargo and 1,800 sqm of purpose-built food grade and basic Value-Added Provider (VAS) facilities.

GAC Dubai's most recent contract logistics center, at Dubai South, is currently functional and brings the company's total capacity in the Emirate to more than 170,000 pallet settings serving local and regional customers.
