HONOR Ranks No.1 in Global Smartphone Shipment Growth in 2025: Omdia

HONOR achieved the highest global smartphone shipment growth among the world’s top ten brands in 2025, recording an 11% year-over-year increase, according to an industry report by Omdia. The results position the company first in shipment growth rankings for the year and reflect its expanding footprint across international markets.

Shipment data indicates that HONOR delivered particularly strong performance outside China, supported by rising demand in premium and upper mid-range device categories. Separate figures from IDC show that during the first three quarters of 2025, HONOR led overseas shipment growth among the top ten brands in several key segments.

These segments include smartphones priced above $300, covering both premium and upper mid-range models, as well as tablets in the $300–$600 range.

The company’s growth strategy has focused on practical innovation, AI-driven features, performance reliability, and user-centric product design. HONOR has continued to strengthen its position in the premium device market while maintaining competitive offerings across multiple price tiers.

Looking ahead, the company is expected to introduce two new devices at MWC Barcelona in March 2026 — a concept Robot Phone and its next foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic V6 — as part of its broader Alpha Plan innovation roadmap.

The Middle East and Africa (MEA) region emerged as a major growth driver for HONOR in 2025. The brand reported increasing consumer adoption across diverse markets, supported by demand for AI features, imaging capabilities, and ecosystem connectivity.

Regional expansion has also been reinforced through partnerships with mobile operators, electronics retailers, and branded stores, particularly across GCC countries. Retail initiatives such as in-store AI demonstrations, experiential display zones, and flagship outlets have contributed to higher visibility and customer engagement.

Analysts note that HONOR’s combination of channel partnerships, ecosystem development, and premium-focused product strategy has helped sustain its global shipment momentum.
