Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs Takes Part in Barzetkum Endana Ramadan Event to Promote Political Participation

The Ministry of State for Federal National Council (FNC) Matters is taking part in the "Barzetkum Endana" occasion on May 29-30, 2018, in Abu Dhabi for the seventh successive year to note the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and arranged by the Office of Government Communication at the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi Government, the event brings together agents from different government entities, private companies and not-for-profit organisations.

With its existence at the annual gathering, the Ministry is working to advance its objectives to promote political participation amongst all sectors of society, showcasing numerous instruments that serve that goal, as well as the parliamentary accomplishments made until now in the UAE and the three successful previous political elections.

His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for FNC Affairs, said: "This event presents an ideal platform for us to get to the largest possible variety of Abu Dhabi Public servant, promote political participation among them, and acquaint them with the developments and successes of the UAE's electoral procedure, which taps into advanced and world-leading technologies."

H.E. Lootah insisted that the Ministry is constantly working with initiatives to improve its function in working with in between the cabinet and the Federal National Council, advertising political engagement amongst all sections of society, and raising the general public's political awareness and experience with the Political Empowerment Programme launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
