Ministry of Culture and Sandooq Al Watan launch Winter Program 2025 focused on the language of the Quran and Emirati customs
The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Sandooq Al Watan and several cultural and community partners, has launched the Winter Program 2025 under the theme “Language of the Quran and Emirati Customs”. The program is being held at the Ministry’s Cultural Centers in Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah and features a curated programme delivered by Emirati trainers, artists and cultural specialists.
Targeted at children and youth aged six and above, the Winter Program offers a comprehensive cultural and educational experience designed to nurture creativity within an interactive and exploratory learning environment. The initiative aims to strengthen participants’ connection to the Arabic language, Emirati traditions and national identity during the winter break.
His Excellency Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, said the program reflects the Ministry’s vision of transforming cultural centres into dynamic platforms that connect younger generations with their heritage while fostering creativity and innovation. He noted that the collaboration with Sandooq Al Watan provides children and youth with opportunities to appreciate the beauty of the Arabic language, reconnect with Emirati customs and develop new skills in an engaging and enjoyable setting.
He added that investing in younger generations is essential to preserving national identity and ensuring youth remain proud of their heritage and fluent in their language, while also embracing creativity and modern thinking. Emirati families were encouraged to register their children for the program to support the development of a culturally aware and creative generation with a strong sense of belonging.
As one of the Ministry’s key annual initiatives, the Winter Program features a wide range of cultural, artistic, heritage and creative activities tailored to different age groups. Participants engage in interactive workshops covering the Arabic language and the Holy Quran, visual arts, animation, Emirati cuisine, traditional shipbuilding, local customs and short story writing.
The program also includes educational field visits to museums and heritage sites, providing hands-on opportunities for participants to explore Emirati heritage, enhance artistic skills and strengthen social responsibility.
Registration is open via the Ministry of Culture’s official website or directly at the Cultural Centers in Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. Participation is free of charge, with limited seats available.
The initiative forms part of a broader portfolio of programs launched by the Ministry of Culture in partnership with Sandooq Al Watan to reinforce national identity and enhance cultural awareness by linking the Arabic language and authentic Emirati values with creativity, arts and knowledge. The partnership underscores both entities’ shared commitment to investing in Emirati talent and nurturing a generation equipped to contribute to sustainable development.
