Falcon Technic Completes Major 60-Month Inspection on Global Express XRS, Returning Aircraft to Full Service

Falcon Technic, a subsidiary of Alex Group Investment, has successfully completed a major 60-month inspection on the Global Express XRS (A6-AFC), underscoring the advanced base maintenance capabilities of its MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility in Dubai.

The 60-month inspection, one of the most comprehensive maintenance checks in an aircraft’s lifecycle, involved detailed examinations of structural components, avionics, hydraulic systems, and flight controls. The process also provided the opportunity to address necessary repairs and incorporate manufacturer-recommended service bulletins.

During the inspection, Falcon Technic’s engineering team carried out structural repairs to address corrosion found on the wing trailing edge and dry bay areas. The project also included an upgrade to the engine bleed air detection system, ensuring enhanced safety and performance.

An eight-member team of dedicated engineers contributed over 2,000 man-hours to complete the inspection. Following the work, the aircraft underwent a handling flight to verify its operational readiness, which concluded without any reported issues from the flight crew.

The Global Express XRS was officially returned to service on 9 August 2025, fully inspected, repaired, and ready for operations.

“When an aircraft comes into Falcon Technic, it leaves stronger, safer, and ready for the skies. That’s true for our fleet, and it’s true for every customer who chooses us. This inspection is proof of what our team can do,” said Sultan Rashit Abdulla Rashit Al Shene, Founder & Chairman of Alex Group Investment.

The next major inspection for the A6-AFC is planned after an additional 500 flight hours. For now, the aircraft has resumed active service, reaffirming Falcon Technic’s commitment to delivering high-quality, safety-focused maintenance solutions.
