Etihad Airways Extends Flight Suspension, Urges Passengers Not to Travel to Abu Dhabi Airport
Etihad Airways has advised passengers and the public not to travel to Abu Dhabi International Airport unless they have been directly contacted and provided with confirmed ticket details. The airline stated that access to the airport may be restricted for individuals without verified travel documentation.
Etihad has extended the suspension of all scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi until 2:00 pm UAE time on Wednesday, March 4, due to ongoing regional airspace disruptions.

Travellers are urged to:

Ensure their contact details are updated in their booking to receive the latest flight information.

Rebook free of charge: Guests with tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, for travel up to March 7, can rebook on Etihad-operated flights until March 18 without additional fees.

Request refunds online: Passengers with flights scheduled until March 7 can submit refund requests via Etihad’s online form or through travel agents.
The airline also noted a high volume of customer calls and encouraged travellers to use the online refund system to avoid delays.
