Brazil's total export market share in the Arab region surges 13.2 percent from January to September 2019

Brazil's total export market share in the Arab region rose 13.2 percent from January to September 2019, contributing positively to continued trade balance with major Arab countries, according to the latest figures released by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).

ABCC said: Brazilian trade reserves with Arab countries surged to US $ 4,152.29 million from US $ 2,991.20 million to US $ 4,152.29 million to US $ 20,397.72 thousand, a 38.8 percent change from January to September 2019.

The report also shows the top three major importers of Brazilian products during this period. They are the UAE (2,065.34 thousand tons valued at US $ 1,727.36 million); Saudi Arabia (2,489.61 thousand tons valued at US $ 1,511.95 million); And Egypt (5,398.73 thousand tons valued at US $ 1,489.14 million).

Major exports include meat, corn, beet sugar, iron ores and concentrates, planes, satellites, live bovine animals, bovine meat, coffee, petroleum oils, soy-bean oil, soda or sulfate, plastering products, lime and cement, organic chemicals, and Fish.

ABCC chairman Rubens Hannun said: The latest figures reflect the strengthening of trade ties between Brazil and the major Arab markets. As in the past, we expect to see a similar upward trend in the coming years as they both continue to look for ways to bring their business relationships to the next level. Their strong commercial relationships are mainly driven by the regions strong demand for Brazilian products, which are renowned for exceptional quality .

Hannun told: We expect this demand to continue to rise despite the current challenges. Thanks to the countrys economic plans, we are seeing greater growth opportunities and we will continue to help the ABCC to facilitate business operations in line with their respective national development agendas.
