Dubai Judicial Institute Signs MoU with French National School for the Judiciary to Advance Judicial Training and Legal Excellence

The Dubai Judicial Institute (DJI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious French National School for the Judiciary (École Nationale de la Magistrature – ENM), marking a significant step in international judicial collaboration. The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of judicial training, exchange of legal expertise, and the development of shared insights to enhance judicial capabilities.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at DJI headquarters in the presence of Her Excellency Judge Dr Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi, Director General of DJI, Judge Haffide Boulakras, Deputy Director of ENM in Paris, and Judge Philippe Solomon from the Cultural Attaché Office at the French Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

The newly signed agreement establishes a comprehensive framework for joint efforts, focusing on improving the competencies of judicial members, navigating modern legal challenges, and promoting international best practices in judicial education. This collaboration also supports DJI’s strategic objective of becoming a global benchmark in legal training and education.

Key objectives of the MoU include:

  • Designing and developing joint academic programs and training curricula

  • Facilitating exchange programs and mutual participation in events, workshops, and seminars

  • Promoting cross-border collaboration in judicial research and knowledge-sharing

  • Supporting capacity-building initiatives aligned with international legal standards

Commenting on the partnership, Judge Dr Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi stated:

“This collaboration aligns with our mission to prepare and qualify outstanding judicial cadres who are well-versed in international legal frameworks. Partnering with ENM strengthens DJI’s position as a pioneering institution and reflects our commitment to global judicial excellence.”
