Brazils Coffee Exports to Arab World Records 9 per cent YoY Growth

Brazil exported 1.09 million coffee bags to the Arab world from January to October 2017 creating USD 179.5 million in earnings, according to the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecaf). 1.09 million 60 kg-bags of the product were shipped to the region's countries. Coffee exports to the Arab countries increased 9 percent in quantity throughout this period, compared to the exact same duration in 2015. In total amount, Brazil exported 24.7 million coffee bags in the very first ten months of 2017, creating USD 4.2 billion.

Dr. Michel Alaby, Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer of ABCC stated: "The current figures released by Cecaf shows the boosting appeal of Brazilian coffee in the Arab region. Such results highlight the success generated by the common commitment by both celebrations to foster trade relations in between Brazil and the Middle East."

Cecaf aims to represent and promote the growth of Brazil's coffee exports industry within a nationwide and worldwide context, via tactical and legal actions, market intelligence, and by carrying out social responsibility jobs that reinforce the sustainable photo of Brazilian coffee.
