Al Zorah signs land acquisition agreement with Samana to develop AED 2.7 billion upscale destination

Ajman, UAE: Al Zorah Real Estate Development Company, a joint venture between the Government of Ajman and Solidere International, has signed a land acquisition agreement with Samana Real Estate Development Company to develop an upscale, mixed-use waterfront destination in Al Zorah City, with a total development value of AED 2.7 billion.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Zorah Real Estate Development Company, by Dr. Nasser Al Shammaa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Solidere International, and Imran Farooq, Chief Executive Officer of Samana Real Estate Development Company, along with senior executives from both organisations.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi welcomed Samana’s entry into Al Zorah City, stating that the coastal project would expand investment and residential options while reinforcing the city’s commitment to upscale urban development balanced with nature. He noted that the project reflects a shared vision to create communities that combine luxury, functionality, and environmental responsibility.

Waterfront development anchored in nature

The new development will comprise more than 2,000 residential units and is situated on a prime waterfront plot within Al Zorah Marina 1, covering 576,908 square feet. The location offers marina views, direct proximity to a protected mangrove reserve, and seamless integration with the surrounding natural environment.

This strategic positioning underscores Al Zorah City’s vision as a nature-focused coastal destination that blends modern living with environmental preservation.

The total saleable area of the project is expected to reach approximately 1.43 million square feet, including 65,000 square feet of commercial space. The mixed-use development will feature apartments, branded residences with hotel services, townhouses, villas, and a curated selection of retail and commercial outlets.

Integrated lifestyle and premium amenities

Residents will benefit from a fully integrated lifestyle offering, including direct access to Al Zorah Golf and Yacht Club, a championship golf course, and a 10-kilometre walking and cycling track, promoting healthy, outdoor-oriented living.

The project will leverage Al Zorah City’s advanced infrastructure, extensive green spaces, and urban planning principles designed to enhance mobility, privacy, and overall quality of life.

Strategic partnership and market momentum

Dr. Nasser Al Shammaa said the collaboration reflects Solidere International’s partnership-driven approach and its focus on high-quality, landmark developments. He added that working with Samana reinforces Al Zorah City’s position as a leading coastal destination and supports the creation of long-term value.

Imran Farooq highlighted Ajman’s strong real estate performance, noting a 37 percent increase in transaction volumes over the past year. He said the project introduces Samana’s resort-style living concept, featuring private pools, wellness facilities, and direct access to natural and leisure assets, offering a compelling proposition for investors seeking privacy, lifestyle quality, and sustainable value.

Samana enters Al Zorah City backed by robust market performance, having ranked fifth among Dubai’s top-selling off-plan developers in 2025, with AED 7.1 billion in sales and a development portfolio exceeding AED 17 billion.

Sustainable design and long-term vision

The project will be developed using advanced architectural design principles and sustainable building practices, complementing Al Zorah’s established portfolio, which includes Golf Estates, Zoya Health & Wellbeing Resort, and Al Zorah Beach Resorts, home to the Four Seasons Resort.

Together, these developments form an integrated coastal destination model centred on nature, luxury, sustainability, and refined waterfront living.
