Azizi Developments Launches AED 75 Billion Hospitality Investment with First Five-Star Hotel in Dubai
Azizi Developments has begun the rollout of its AED 75 billion hospitality investment plan with the foundation of its first five-star hotel in Dubai, marking a major expansion in the emirate’s tourism and hospitality sector.
Announced on March 10, 2026, the project is located within the Azizi Riviera community in Mohammed Bin Rashid City and forms part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening Dubai’s world-class tourism infrastructure.
Large-Scale Hospitality Expansion
The new five-star property is one of ten hotel developments currently in various stages of design, development and construction. These projects are being delivered through Azizi Developments’ in-house capabilities, utilising its integrated expertise in development, construction and project management.
Under its hospitality division, Azizi Hospitality, the developer plans to build 151 hotels, including:
-
100 four-star hotels
-
50 five-star hotels
-
One seven-star hotel
More than 90 percent of the portfolio will be located in Dubai, reflecting the company’s strong focus on the emirate’s rapidly growing tourism sector.
Once completed, the projects are expected to add approximately 60,000 hotel rooms to Dubai’s hospitality capacity and create more than 75,000 jobs, further strengthening the emirate’s position as a global tourism and investment destination.
Seven-Star Hotel at Burj Azizi
A key highlight of the portfolio will be the seven-star hotel planned within Burj Azizi, a landmark tower under development on Sheikh Zayed Road. The skyscraper is expected to become the world’s second tallest building, adding another iconic architectural attraction to Dubai’s skyline.
The ultra-luxury hotel is set to introduce a globally recognised hospitality destination, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation for innovative tourism projects and luxury experiences.
Hospitality Training Academy
As part of the initiative, Azizi Developments will also establish the Azizi Hospitality Academy, a training institution aimed at preparing the next generation of hospitality professionals in the UAE.
The academy will provide international-standard training and professional development, helping support the sector with skilled talent as Dubai continues to expand its tourism and hospitality offerings.
Confidence in Dubai’s Tourism Vision
Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, said the investment reflects the company’s long-term confidence in Dubai’s economic and tourism vision.
He noted that the emirate has established itself as one of the world’s most stable and opportunity-rich destinations, creating an environment that encourages large-scale investments and ambitious development projects.
Azizi added that the AED 75 billion hospitality programme aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to further strengthen the city’s position as a leading global tourism hub.
Through the initiative, the developer aims to introduce new hospitality experiences across multiple market segments, helping attract visitors from around the world while reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a global leader in travel, lifestyle and investment.
