Dubai Police to Track Vehicles with Fines and Seizure Orders Through Parkin’s Smart Parking Network
Dubai Police will now be able to identify vehicles with outstanding fines or seizure orders as soon as they enter Parkin’s smart parking facilities, enabling swift legal action and improved road safety.
The initiative comes under a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dubai Police and Parkin PJSC, the largest provider of public parking facilities in the emirate. The agreement connects Dubai Police’s traffic management systems with Parkin’s intelligent parking and payment platforms, allowing seamless data exchange and enhanced monitoring capabilities.
Signed during GITEX Global 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the MoU was formalized by Brigadier Issam Ibrahim Al Awar, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, and Engineer Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, in the presence of senior officials and representatives from both sides.
Brigadier Al Awar stated that the agreement aligns with Dubai Police’s commitment, under the leadership of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to strengthen partnerships with public and private entities and accelerate the emirate’s digital transformation.
He added, “This project is a big step forward for road safety in Dubai. By linking traffic and parking systems, we can monitor vehicles more effectively, ensure compliance with traffic laws, and reduce cases of unpaid fines or unlicensed vehicles on the road—contributing to a safer and more efficient city.”
Engineer Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, highlighted that the partnership reinforces Parkin’s mission to leverage technology for smarter urban mobility. “We’re proud to collaborate with Dubai Police on this initiative. Together, we aim to make parking and traffic management smarter, safer, and more efficient for everyone. This partnership supports Dubai’s vision of becoming one of the world’s smartest and most connected cities.”
The integration between Dubai Police and Parkin will support real-time data sharing, enable faster detection of vehicles linked to criminal or traffic violations, and improve overall traffic flow and planning. It represents a major step in Dubai’s journey toward achieving full digital integration and advancing its smart mobility ecosystem.
