For trailing the Chinese travelers roadshows were conducted in three cities by Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority
The Sharjah Trade and Tourist Development Authority (SCTDA) announces that it will organize road shows in three Chinese cities–Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai-in September 2019 in its attempts at achieving the Sharjah Tourism Vision 2021, which aims to attract more than 10 million tourists by 2021. The campaign, which will run from 16 to 20 September, aims to stimulate Chinese outward journeys to Sharjah by encouraging Chinese tourists to use the UAE visa when arriving in China.
As Chinese tourists come to Sharjah to learn about the cultural and historical identity of the Emirates, they have become one of the SCTDA ' s largest markets. Therefore, the show will make the Authority more aware of its product offerings and other special packages in order to attract more Chinese travelers. SCTDA, in cooperation with the public and private sectors, will highlight the ambitious development projects of the Emirates before China's audiences at the roadshows in Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai.
SCTDA President H.E Khalid Jasim Al Midfa said, "In the second quarter of this year, China's visitors have reached 13.289, reflecting a steadfast increase in Chinese tourists ' interest in visiting Sharjah, and this figure is expected to rise even more at the end of the year. Taking this growth into consideration, SCTDA's next road shows in three Chinese cities will increase communication channels with leaders in the tourism, hospitality and tourism industries, and promote best practice exchanges, successful knowledge and newest trends, so that the tourism industry is effective.
"Throughout the year, SCTDA has implemented an integrated approach that highlights the diversity of the emirates, tourism and family recreation activities and world-class amenities, in order to promote Sharjah as a family-fun vacational destination. In addition, we will give them, in cooperation with our partners, unique packages and creative solutions based on the idea of sustainable tourism. These efforts are the main contributors to Sharjah's financial, social, cultural and environmental development in the sustainable development of the tourism and commercial industries.” He added.
SCTDA's 2019 campaigns concentrate on ecotourism products, outdoor activities and branded hotels in order to make Sharjah a strong worldwide family friendly destination according to Guidelines of H.H. Sheik Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Supreme Council Member.
The Authority continues, based on its vision, to enhance the contribution of the tourism sector to the development of the local economy by offering prospective international and local tour operators in the tourism and recreation sector distinctive possibilities. Moreover, SCTDA focuses on the development of tailor-mades tourism experiences that cater to individual tastes, including adventure packages that fulfill their specific interests.
