Ajman Hosts 58th Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship for the First Time
Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, and in the presence of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, the 58th Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship 2025 officially kicked off in Ajman. Held at the Emirates Hospitality Centre, the three-day event will run until 17 June 2025.
This marks the first time Ajman is hosting this prestigious international championship, organized by the Ajman Department of Tourism Development in collaboration with the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.
Showcasing Ajman on the Global Sports Stage
Speaking at the inauguration, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi expressed pride in Ajman hosting the event, noting the international attention it has brought to the Emirate. “This championship represents a pivotal opportunity to highlight Ajman’s exceptional organisational capabilities, rich cultural heritage, and tourism appeal. It strengthens Ajman's profile as a top-tier destination for world-class sporting events and supports our vision for economic growth, particularly in tourism and hospitality,” he said.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, highlighted the importance of the event in enhancing the UAE’s reputation for hosting major sporting competitions. He thanked the leadership for their patronage and support, noting that the event sets a strong foundation for the growth of bodybuilding both locally and globally. He added, “Ajman’s modern infrastructure and the credibility of its tourism department affirm the Emirate’s ability to deliver world-class events.”

H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director-General of the Ajman Tourism Development Department, remarked, “Hosting this championship allows us to present Ajman’s cultural, tourism, and organisational strengths on an international platform.
