The Brain & Performance Centre, a DP World company, has been named Highly Commended in the Healthcare Company of the Year category at the Gulf Business Awards 2026.
The recognition marks the Centre’s second consecutive year of recognition at the awards. In 2025, its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Craig R. Cook, was named Healthcare Leader of the Year.
The 2026 awards were presented on September 23 at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, JBR. The event, held during the 30th anniversary year of Gulf Business, recognised companies and business leaders across 30 categories covering sectors including healthcare, banking, investment, energy, technology, tourism, logistics and sustainability.
Centre focuses on brain health and rehabilitation
Based in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, The Brain & Performance Centre provides services focused on brain health, neurorehabilitation and human performance.
Its multidisciplinary programmes combine hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), advanced diagnostics including 3-Tesla MRI, neurocognitive training, physiotherapy, clinical nutrition and psychology.
The Centre supports adults undergoing recovery and rehabilitation following stroke, traumatic brain injury and concussion. It also works with people living with long COVID, fibromyalgia, chronic pain and age-related cognitive decline.
Its Youth Wing provides services for children with conditions including cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, paediatric stroke and some forms of autism spectrum disorder.
The Centre also works with executives, athletes and other high-performing individuals seeking assessments and programmes focused on cognitive and physical performance.
Programmes based on individual assessments
According to the Centre, each programme begins with a comprehensive medical assessment, including baseline testing and advanced imaging, to assess suitability and develop an individual treatment plan.
Follow-up evaluations are conducted after treatment to assess progress. Treatment protocols are informed by published clinical research and delivered under medical supervision.
The Centre said it was the first hyperbaric facility in the Middle East to receive accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). The accreditation process includes an independent review of clinical oversight, staff qualifications, patient-care practices, equipment and safety procedures.
Centre welcomes international patients
The Brain & Performance Centre also serves patients travelling to the UAE for specialised healthcare, including individuals and families from the GCC, India and other markets.
Dr. Craig R. Cook, Chief Executive Officer of The Brain & Performance Centre, said the latest recognition reflected the work of the Centre’s team and its approach to personalised care.
“Being recognised alongside some of the largest names in healthcare in the region, and for the second year running, is a moment our entire team can be proud of,” Cook said.
He added that the Centre would continue to focus on integrated and personalised programmes for brain health and performance, supported by its medical team and DP World.
