Tasjeel partners with Sharjah Police to promote road traffic safety at 32nd GCC Traffic Week 2016

Tasjeel, a business unit of ENOC Retail, and the UAE's one-stop-shop for all automobile testing and registration needs, took part in the GCC Traffic Week 2016 held at The Sharjah Higher Colleges of Technology, to promote road
traffic security, from 13-19 March, 2016.

Absolutely nothing can change safe driving which we continuously promote in as many methods as possible through various partnerships with similar organizations.

"Every year we take part in the GCC Traffic Week, in cooperation with Sharjah Police, to raise public awareness on traffic security and guidelines amongst all residents, especially the younger generation. Our efforts were well received this year.".

The GCC Traffic Week was held under the style 'Your Decision Determines Your Fate'.

Speaking on the event, Husam Al Shawi, Tasjeel General Manager, said: "This year, we extended our support to the occasion by conducting numerous community-awareness programs to highlight the very best procedures and practices for decreasing safety risks on roads.

"According to reports, 1,056 individuals have been killed in traffic mishaps in the UAE since 2007 with Dubai police's traffic department alone reporting 33,886 traffic offences this month.This, in addition to the loss of human life which is priceless and irreplaceable, is also costing the economy billions every year. We all know that when we talk about road accidents, it is all of us who bear the brunt of the human and the economic loss, and it is up to us to make the distinction.This is why Tasjeel is keen in participating and supporting such campaigns, he added.

It has 9 branches in Dubai, Sharjah, Khorfakkan, and Hatta, and all are equipped with the latest testing and inspection machinery.
