Dubai Fountain set to reopen on October 1 with dazzling performances

After a five-month renovation, the Dubai Fountain, the world’s largest choreographed fountain, will officially reopen on October 1, once again enchanting residents and visitors with its iconic display of water, light, and music.

Renovation completed ahead of schedule

The reopening follows the completion of Phase One of the renovation works, which included essential upgrades such as tiling, water insulation, and painting to preserve the fountain’s beauty and ensure safety and reliability. The works were completed ahead of schedule, allowing the attraction to resume operations earlier than expected.

Emaar has also confirmed that Phase Two of the renovation is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2026. This stage will introduce innovative new elements that combine creativity and advanced technology to further enhance the Dubai Fountain experience.

Global anticipation builds

The reopening has generated strong interest both locally and internationally, with many visitors timing their trips to Dubai to coincide with the fountain’s return. Social media platforms have been filled with anticipation as families, tourists, and enthusiasts prepare to attend the first shows of the season.

Upon reopening, the fountain will resume its regular performance schedule:

  • Afternoon shows: Daily at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm, and Fridays at 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm

  • Evening shows: From 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm at 30-minute intervals

Symbol of Dubai’s spirit

Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar, described the fountain’s return as a reflection of Dubai’s energy and ambition.

“The return of Dubai Fountain is a celebration of Dubai itself – its spirit, its energy, and its ability to inspire the world. This landmark has always brought people together, creating shared moments of wonder and joy. When the fountain reopens, it will remind us once again of what Dubai represents: innovation, ambition, and experiences that leave a lasting impression,” Alabbar said.

A vibrant cultural destination

Emaar reaffirmed its commitment to delivering world-class attractions that contribute to Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for leisure, culture, and innovation. The reopening of the Dubai Fountain is expected to strengthen the city’s appeal to international visitors while providing residents with renewed opportunities to enjoy one of its most beloved icons.

With Phase Two renovations set to introduce new surprises in 2026, the Dubai Fountain continues to evolve, ensuring it remains a source of inspiration and wonder for audiences around the world.
