Sharjah Architecture Triennial Inaugural Board Meeting

The Sharjah Architecture Triennial inaugural Board meeting was held on November 6 th, 2017 at Sharjah Urban Planning Headquarter. Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Style Triennial chairman, hosted board members: Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of Sharjah Art Foundation, Engineer Khalid Bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Directorate of Town Planning and Survey, Mr. Khaled Al Huraimel, Group Chief Executive Officer, Bee'ah, and Designer George Katodrytis, Head of the Division of Design, University of Design Art and Design, American University of Sharjah Also existing were Architect Mona El Mousfy, SAT advisor, Eng. Khalid Al Ali Sharjah. Urban Planning Council (SUPC) Secretary General, and Gina Allaf, SUPC Marketing Manager.

The board members were first presented with the program's vision, objectives, activitiesand structure. The session was adhered to with an introduction of potential Triennial Websites, and the examination of global style Biennials/Triennials' development.

The meeting concluded with lively discussions on upcoming pre-launch events. Key gamers in the style and urban field, the board participants are eager to advancement SAT's mission and goals.

Sheikh Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, discussed the conference: "The success and sustainability of SAT originates from the community it constructs around itself and the partnerships it establishes with public and economic sector companions; the inaugural board meeting was a primary step in this direction." "This is an exciting time in the advancement of Sharjah and this programme," Al Qasimi included.
