Ahmed Selim appointed director of human resources at Jannah Hotels & Resorts
Jannah Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Ahmed Selim as its new Director of Human Resources, reinforcing the group’s commitment to strengthening organisational culture and supporting its next phase of growth.
Selim brings more than 17 years of experience in human capital management, organisational development and multi-unit hospitality leadership across the UAE and international markets. He is widely recognised for his people-first approach and for leading large-scale HR transformation initiatives within complex hospitality operations.
Prior to joining Jannah, Selim served as Human Capital Director at Erth Abu Dhabi, where he oversaw a workforce of more than 4,000 employees across luxury hotels, corporate catering, fitness and wellness facilities, and Michelin-starred dining concepts. Leading a team of 58 HR professionals, he delivered wide-ranging transformation projects, including strategy redesign, organisational restructuring, KPI alignment and the digital modernisation of HR systems across the group.
During his tenure at Erth, Selim also played a key role in national-level initiatives, most notably leading HR planning and workforce readiness for COP28 UAE, one of the country’s largest hospitality workforce programmes. His contributions included strengthening HR governance frameworks, introducing advanced employee self-service platforms, enhancing employee experience initiatives and implementing robust policies and capability-building programmes.
Earlier in his career, Selim spent nearly a decade with Rixos Hotels – Accor, holding senior HR leadership positions including Director of Talent & Culture. His responsibilities covered talent management, succession planning, performance frameworks, learning and development, accommodation strategy and employee engagement across multiple luxury properties.
Fluent in Arabic and English, Selim is known for his strategic mindset, strong understanding of UAE labour law and ability to build engaged, high-performing teams aligned with business objectives. His appointment is seen as a significant addition to the Jannah Hotels & Resorts leadership team as the group continues to invest in its people, enhance employee experience and prepare for sustained growth in 2025 and beyond.
