Salem Ahmad Almoosa hosts MoI Ramadan Majlis

Under the patronage of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Salem Ahmad Almoosa hosted Ramadan Council for the Ministry of Interior (MoI). The event, which was held on May 13 at the his Majlis of in Jumeirah (3). This years Council was held under the theme Human Fraternity, and witnessed the participants underscore the importance of Human Fraternity as a universal humanitarian value that brings people together and spreads tolerance, love and cooperation among them. The event thus highlighted the UAE's pioneering role in spreading the values and principles of peace, love and tolerance.
HE Almoosa, said: "We are pleased to host the Ramadan Majlis under the theme Human Fraternity, on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan. It embodies the vision and efforts of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, represented by consolidating the values of peace, fraternity, coexistence, tolerance, accept the other and make it a community culture based on the UAE. This year's Ramadan Majlis also coincides with the Year of Tolerance launched by the UAE in 2019, to underscore the role of our leadership in upholding the principle of tolerance established by the late Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, encouraging us to renew our commitment to transforming the UAE into a unique model of peace and human coexistence for the world."
The MoI Majlis addressed several social, religious and legal topics that focused on issues of interest to the different segments of the society. Lt General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, H.E. Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi, Director-General of the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, Dr. Qutb Abdul Hamid Qutb Preacher at Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Dr. Ahmad Suleiman Hasan Director of the Department of Legal Affairs at Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Marcus Stephen, president of the Coptic Church in Dubai and Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. Faisal Al Banna talked about the importance of tolerance and reaffirming other cultural, religious and social values and openness to cultures and peoples in society. The role of Islam in promoting these values as a religion of love and fraternity among people, and the importance of the law in promoting the values of tolerance and communal harmony also formed part of the discussions.
