Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation welcomes Emirates Post Group to My Family Reads initiative

As part of its commitment and concerted strategy to disseminate knowledge and strengthen a culture of reading among the UAE community, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) today announced that Emirates Post Group has joined its My Family Reads initiative. This followed the visit by a delegation of MBRF led by HE Jamal bin Huwaireb, Managing Director of MBRF, to Emirates Post Group.

The My Family Reads campaign aims at raising the level of knowledge among Emirati families and promoting the nations intellectual and literary culture. MBRF distributed specially developed knowledge packs with books on diverse topics to Emirates Post Group, which will be distributed to outstanding employees for promoting the culture of reading at home among family members.

The knowledge packs include a variety of books on topics such as management, addressing concerns in life, world history, heritage, success stories of individuals and other inspiring books that will add to the intellectual development of the family members. Biographies of world leaders, accomplished artists and scientists are also provided particularly to inspire the youth. The intellectual skills of children are promoted through educational yet entertaining tools in wood, glass and other materials.

Welcoming Emirates Post Group to the My Family Reads initiative, HE Jamal bin Huwaireb said: Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation has strengthened its efforts in strengthening a culture of reading among family members and the society to enhance our knowledge-based economy. We are keen to boost our cooperation with various governmental entities and thus contribute to the nations all-round excellence envisioned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, by fostering innovation and quality in all government services.

HE Fahad Al Hosni, Chief Executive of Emirates Post Group, said: Initiatives such as My Family Reads foster a culture of reading, raise the level of knowledge and promote knowledge sharing among institutions and government agencies on the one hand, as well as our employees and their families, on the other. Joining the programme highlights our commitment to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, especially to support Arabic language as a key tool to build a society built on knowledge and innovation, as well as promote our national identity.

Commending the efforts of MBRF, HE Al Hosni said: " Emirates Post Group appreciates the efforts of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation efforts and appreciates its active role in the dissemination of knowledge, and the preservation of heritage and culture."

My Family Reads initiative was launched under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Foundation, to implement the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to creating an advanced society based on knowledge by providing access to the citizens of the UAE on the newest advances in arts and sciences to promote creativity and innovation.
