The Ministry of State for Federal National Affairs organized a friendly gathering with the media, as part of the Ministrys efforts to maintain fruitful relationships with one of its most important strategic partners.

The gathering was attended by His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Saeed Al Ghafli, Assistant Undersecretary for Federal National Council Affairs, and His Excellency Sami Bin Adi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, in addition to members of the Government Communication team in the ministry.

The Ministry organized this annual gathering in recognition of the vital role of the media in enhancing political awareness among all segments in the community, said H.E. Tariq Lootah. The media is a strategic partner of the Ministry in all its activities, especially playing a key role in promoting the culture of political participation and political awareness in the society, H.E. added.

H.E. Tariq Lootah pointed out that the media has the first access to new information, and praised the role of the local media in highlighting the UAEs achievements in all areas, including the parliamentary experiment in the country.

Stressing that the Ministry is keen to strengthen cooperation with the media, H.E. Tariq Lootah said the media would be provided with accurate and transparent information to attain the Ministrys strategic objective of increasing the political awareness in the community.

The Ministry has launched several media initiatives aimed at enhancing community awareness about political participation and development, including a "Political Participation magazine, electronic empowerment bulletin as well as numerous books and studies.
