The meeting took place at the Council’s headquarters and focused on defining the committee’s mandate, operational framework, and key priorities aimed at building a sustainable and globally competitive film industry in Dubai.
During the session, committee members reviewed plans to strengthen Dubai’s film ecosystem by supporting production activities, developing local talent, and fostering collaboration with regional and international partners. Discussions highlighted the importance of aligning policy, infrastructure, and industry needs to create a coordinated approach that supports long-term growth across the sector.
The committee also examined ways to build on Dubai’s existing strengths as a production destination, while addressing practical challenges faced by filmmakers, including streamlined production processes, training opportunities, and access to resources for emerging talent.
