Ending the wait for her thousands of fans in Dubai, Disney superstar Laura Marano held a huge crowd of audiences spellbound at her live concert that took place yesterday in China Court of Nakheels Ibn Battuta Mall. The musical spectacle was hosted as part of the DSS Starz series a glamorous new addition to the 18th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) which brings young global stars closer to their fans in Dubai, in collaboration with the concerts Strategic Partner Etisalat.

Fascinated and inspired by the many stories of the famous traveller Ibn Battuta, which she was introduced to during her early school years, Laura Marano requested for a tour of the themed Ibn Battuta Mall before the concert and was seen appreciating the unique architecture of the popular shopping destination.

DSS 2015 is organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), under the theme 45 Days of Summer. Running until 5 September, DSS offers numerous shopping, entertainment and winning opportunities for visitors of all ages and nationalities.

Marking the award-winning teen sensations first ever live concert in the Middle East, the showcase saw hordes of fans singing along to the multi-talented celebritys well-known songs from her hit television series Austin & Ally including Finally Me, Me and You and Parachute. A talented songwriter in her own right, Laura also weaved magic on stage with her original tracks including Bear Song and Layover.

The packed concert ended with fans eagerly awaiting the opportunity to share a personal moment with the celebrity with a 60-minute Meet-and-Greet opportunity.

As part of the DSS Starz series, DSS fans can continue to look forward to a number of other stars in Dubai throughout the summer extravaganza, including Jaden and Willow Smith and Zendaya as well as regional favourites Hala Turk and Nancy Ajram.
