With IFS Applications 10, International Maritime Industries Company goes live and for positioning itself to upcoming core business processes rollout

IFS, an international business applications company, declares that International Maritime Industries Company (IMI), a landmark joint venture between Saudi Aramco, Lamprell, Bahri, and Hyundai Heavy Industries, has carried out the first deployment of IFS Applications to assist maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) contracts and back-office operations.

Situated in Ras Al-Khair on the east coast of Saudi Arabia, IMI, when completely operational, will be the biggest maritime facility in the region and internationally unique in terms of its mix of services across multiple market segments: new build and MRO for commercial vessels which includes very large crude carriers(VLCCs), bulk carriers, offshore support vessels (OSVs), and offshore jackup rigs.

To promote productivity and make sure efficiencies throughout its operations, the company wanted a modern, completely integrated ERP solution with strong functionality, planned for the maritime industry. Following a complete evaluation process that included major ERP vendors IMI chose IFS Applications.

Following the successful implementation of phase 1, IFS Applications now assists mission-critical processes and operations and is entirely integrated with finance, human capital management (HCM), payroll, and procurement.
