HBMSU introduces 'Smart Campus' mobile app for Android & iOS smart gadgets

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) has today (Tuesday, November 24, 2015) revealed a mobile app that brings the abilities of the university's 'Smart Campus' virtual school to cellular phone users. The app can work on Android- and iOS-supported devices and is developed to be completely compatible with wearable innovations. H.E. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Coordination Council of Higher Education, personally launched the app and saw its first notices on a smart watch throughout the Higher Education and Research Policies Forum hosted by HBMSU.

The app launch appropriately coincides with the very first UAE Innovation Week occurring from November 22 to 28, 2015, in line with the directives of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to mark 2015 as the "Year of Innovation." The unique week-long nationwide event was launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and works as a conclusive platform and destination for innovation and pioneers in the area.
