Dubai health care city authority and nshama reveal joint venture to establish an integrated community in phase 2

Dubai Healthcare City Authority today revealed a joint venture with Nshama, a personal designer of clever integrated neighborhoods, to establish a mixed-use advancement in Dubai Healthcare City's Phase 2 health expansion project at Al Jadaf Dubai, parallel to Al Garhoud Bridge. The agreement will produce a dynamic living, working and recreation environment for the Dubai Healthcare City neighborhood, locals, and medical travelers in Phase 2, neglecting the historic Dubai Creek lined with cultural and architectural sites.

The Phase 2 of Dubai Healthcare City, spread out over land location of 22 million square feet, was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in March this year. The joint endeavor follows on from the launch.
The contract will provide an incorporated community, called Al Fursan, making up premium apartments, serviced houses, 4- and 5-star hotels, and retail and leisure functions, spread over roughly 2.9 million square feet of Dubai Healthcare City's Phase 2 growth job. Dubai-based Nshama develops elegantly masterplanned neighbourhoods that are smart, interconnected and sustainable.

The finalizing was attended by Her Excellency Dr Raja Al Gurg, Vice-Chairperson and Executive Director of Dubai Healthcare City Authority; Dr Amina Al Rustamani, Group CEO-- TECOM Investments and board member of Dubai Healthcare City; other board members of the Authority; Fred Durie, Chief Executive Officer, Nshama; and senior authorities from Nshama and Dubai Healthcare City. The collaboration with Nshama shows Dubai Healthcare City's commitment to sustainable metropolitan planning and the value of combining interdisciplinary stakeholders to ensure long-term growth, stated Her Excellency Dr Raja Al Gurg, Vice-Chairperson and Executive Director of Dubai Healthcare City Authority.

"Our collaboration is a turning point to support the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed in developing the emirate as an international medical tourist hub, and developing Dubai's key sectors of health, retail and hospitality," said Dr Al Gurg. She added, "Nshama's developmental model dovetails with our planning requirements for Phase 2. The project will deal with the growing demand for living choices from healthcare specialists who relocate to the emirate and from medical tourists.".

The first phase of preparation will consider connectivity to promote activity and interaction on a community level, and the needed infrastructure to guarantee environmental vigilance and social responsibility. Details on the development will be revealed in the future. Fred Durie, Chief Executive Officer, Nshama, stated, "The JV is a key addition to our development profile. The project will be an interconnected community with walkways linking different parts, offering a rejuvenating creek-side ambience.".

Nshama will concentrate entirely on the development elements such as the master strategy and design, and work closely with Dubai Healthcare City to make sure optimum land use to incorporate the network of top quality, mixed-use health care and wellness providings with a domestic community aspect.
