20 submissions from 13 government entities received to date; final deadline set for August 8

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has announced continued momentum in submissions for its inaugural Research Awards 2025, launched earlier in February 2025. The initiative aims to enhance government workplace systems by promoting scientific research, innovation, and evidence-based human resources policies aligned with future transformations in HR management.

So far, the department has received 20 research papers from 13 Dubai government entities, demonstrating robust engagement across the public sector. Notably, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) led with five submissions, followed by DGHR with three entries. Other contributors include the Dubai Health Authority, Digital Dubai Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.

Winners will be announced in the final phase of the award program. The deadline for submissions is August 8, 2025.

Enhancing Awareness and Accessibility

DGHR has also announced plans to host a second awareness workshop in July 2025, aimed at updating participants on award developments and introducing new features to the official website, including a dedicated page titled “Dubai Government HR Department Research Awards” for seamless submission. The first workshop in May 2025 witnessed participation from over 350 attendees, reflecting strong interest across the government ecosystem.

DGHR continues to encourage all Dubai Government entities to contribute to this pioneering initiative, aimed at embedding scientific research into public sector HR policy-making and supporting Dubai’s vision of building a world-class, knowledge-driven government.
