Dubai Culture showcases Dubai International Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition on Dubai 360

The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirates dedicated entity for heritage and culture, is showcasing the Dubai International Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition on Dubai360.com, the world's largest interactive city tour that features panoramic photo, time lapse and video content. It is an initiative under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.

Dubai360.com highlights the citys key destinations and attractions, viewed from all angles at a time, providing a spectacular aesthetic and holistic perspective. A showcase of all the cultural aspects of Dubai in vivid details, it is enriched by panoramic photographs and interactive videos in slow motion.

The addition of the Dubai International Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition on Dubai360.com, underlines the commitment of Dubai Culture to strengthen interaction with all segments of the community and provide effortless access to them about the various cultural and arts events organised by Dubai Culture and its partners throughout the year.

This year, the Dubai International Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition Dubai held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, was showcased at Wafi Mall and was one of the main highlights of the second edition of Dubai Art Season, the comprehensive cultural initiative launched by Dubai Culture that brings together diverse events under one umbrella.

Gaining recognition as the biggest specialised Arabic calligraphy exhibition, it was highlighted by the participation of over 500 calligraphy artists, including classicists and modernists, presenting the diversity, evolution and trends in this highly accomplished artform. Over 70 workshops and seminars were also held that showcased the myriad facets of Arabic calligraphy, and its various forms of expression, styles and historical and social context. More than 380,000 visitors, including high ranking dignitaries, toured the exhibition.
