Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirates dedicated Authority for culture, arts, and heritage, is extending its support to the Rehlatna initiative, which having achieved the Guinness World Record for the worlds longest graffiti wall, continues to serve as an open air art museum where people can make their artistic contributions.

Organised as part of the 43rd UAE National Day celebrations, Rehlatna clinched the honour for worlds longest graffiti scroll at 2.245 km, with artists from around the world creating a spectacular arts showcase of the nations culture, traditions and modern-day achievements.

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, Rehlatna encourages artists of all ages to further contribute to the graffiti wall with artistic depictions of the nations culture and accomplishments.

As part of its mandate to support all cultural and art initiatives that enrich the creative scene of Dubai, the Authority organised several trips over the course of three days to Rehlatna for employees across various departments.

Saeed Al Nabouda, Acting Director General, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, said: Rehlatna is a path-breaking initiative that brings art closer to the community while celebrating the proud achievements of our nation in a short span of time. Dubai Culture is committed to promoting participatory art by the community that not only defines the soul of the city but also helps in nurturing talent and promoting intercultural dialogue.

For the UAE National Day celebrations, Rehlatna, meaning Our Journey, had brought together over 150 artists to create artistic vignettes of Dubais culture and heritage as well as the modern iconic landmarks. Reflecting the UAEs uplifting journey and countless successes, it took the form of the nations map with several works executed through Arabic calligraphy.
