In a statement marking World Youth Skills Day, Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), emphasized the crucial role that youth play in shaping the future of the nation. She celebrated the achievements of Emirati youth in cultural and artistic fields, describing them as a driving force behind innovation and a key component of the UAE’s sustainable development.

“Youth represent the nation’s ambition and true wealth,” said Badri. “They are the pioneers of the future, and our wise leadership has prioritized their empowerment by investing in their potential, enhancing their skills, and encouraging their participation across vital sectors. This commitment helps prepare a new generation ready to lead the nation into a future of advancement and sustainability.”

Badri highlighted the significance of this year’s World Youth Skills Day theme: “Empowering Youth with Artificial Intelligence and Digital Skills”, calling it a timely recognition of the role youth play in social, cultural, and economic development.

She noted that Dubai Culture is actively embracing artificial intelligence and digital innovation as tools to enhance cultural engagement and accessibility. “The Authority is focused on creating a sustainable creative ecosystem that nurtures young talent and equips them with digital knowledge and tools. This fosters their creativity and transforms their ambitions into tangible projects that contribute to Dubai’s digital transformation and the growth of its cultural and creative industries,” she explained.

Badri further added that this approach aligns with Dubai’s strategic vision of attracting talented individuals, empowering them to innovate, and involving them in shaping the future of the emirate.
