Bahri Welcomes New Year with Addition of Kassab as its First VLCC in 2018

Marking a solid start for 2018, Bahri, a global leader in transportion and logistics, today accepted the delivery of its first Very Large Crude-oil Carrier(VLCC) this year 'Kassab' to enhance the company's maritime offering and increase its market share in crude oil transportation.

The 300,000-DWT carrier, constructed by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI), the world's biggest shipbuilding company based in South Korea, raises Bahri's complete number of multi-purpose fleet to 89 and VLCCs to 42, additionally strengthening its setting as the largest VLCC proprietor and operator worldwide.

Bahri took the delivery of 'Kassab', which is the initial of five vessels on order for the year, at a ceremony held at the HSHI's Mokpo shipyard in South Jeolla District, South Korea on January 22, 2018.
