Abu Dhabi Unveils World’s First AI Public Servant at GITEX Global 2025

Abu Dhabi has made history with the unveiling of the world’s first AI public servant, marking a revolutionary leap in digital governance. The announcement took place at GITEX Global 2025, where the emirate introduced the new AutoGov feature as part of the latest update to its TAMM platform.

The TAMM AutoGov function automates recurring citizen services — such as license renewals, utility bill payments, and healthcare appointment scheduling — allowing tasks to run seamlessly in the background. This innovation enables residents to focus on personal and professional priorities while the system efficiently manages everyday administrative needs.

The initiative marks a major milestone in Abu Dhabi’s journey toward becoming the world’s first AI-native government, delivering intelligent, secure, and fully automated public services. Citizens can personalize automation preferences, ensuring services are tailored, reliable, and proactive.

The new feature builds on the TAMM AI Assistant, which already provides smart, contextual, and proactive service support across more than 1,100 integrated government and private sector services.

H.E. Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), described the development as “truly transformative,” adding:

“With the world’s first transactional AI public servant, Abu Dhabi is showing what anticipatory government looks like — intelligent, human-centered, and present at the moments that matter most.”

Anticipatory and Intelligent Service Delivery

The upgraded TAMM platform introduces several new AI-powered features. AI Vision and Smart Guide simplify complex procedures with visual and spoken instructions, real-time document scanning, and error-free submissions. Meanwhile, multilingual and voice-enabled services enhance accessibility in both Arabic and English, ensuring inclusivity and ease of use.

Through personalized dashboards, users receive reminders, insights, and task updates — transforming what once took hours into frictionless digital experiences.

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Askar, Director General of TAMM, highlighted the shift from reactive to anticipatory governance:

“We’re moving from one-off transactions to intelligent journeys that adapt to each person’s needs. This is the true promise of an AI public servant — to give people back time and peace of mind.”

Redefining Citizen Engagement

TAMM’s update also introduces TAMM Spaces, expanding into three new hubs — Family, Mobility, and Sahatna (Health) — each designed around life milestones. These hubs simplify access to key services such as healthcare management, school updates, and transportation planning.

Another breakthrough feature, TAMM Hologram, redefines digital interaction. Through holographic mobile pods across Abu Dhabi, citizens and residents can connect with real government agents in real time for personalized assistance in both Arabic and English — merging human warmth with digital convenience.

Additionally, TAMM by You empowers residents to participate in co-creating services by submitting and voting on proposals, aligning with Abu Dhabi’s Year of Community initiative.

Expanding the TAMM Ecosystem

TAMM now integrates over 1,100 services from more than 90 public and private partners, including new collaborations with ADX, Comera, Wio Bank, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), and SAAED. These partnerships enable seamless, end-to-end transactions directly within the app.

The unveiling of AutoGov at GITEX Global 2025 marks a defining moment in the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025–2027, setting a global benchmark for AI governance. With the world’s first AI public servant, Abu Dhabi is leading the transformation toward a government that is anticipatory, inclusive, and designed entirely around the lives of its people.
