Abu Dhabi to launch Mother of the Nation Festival

The first edition of the Mother of the Nation Festival, organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, is set to release on the Corniche in Abu Dhabi from 24th March to 2nd April, 2016.

The festival will highlight the vision and far-reaching contributions of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council of Motherhood and Childhood, which provides the significance of family coherence in addition to nurturing cultural understanding amongst the UAE society.

The celebration will stretch along 1.3 kilometres of Abu Dhabi's beautiful Corniche Beach and include a series of exhibitions, efficiencies, and occasions held across 5 diverse outside activity zones, in addition to "The Pavilion", a testament to H.H. Sheikha Fatima's accomplishments. These zones are developed to host a large variety of amusing and educational activities, providing the celebration an interactive and community-centred ambience for one and all.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, and her essential function in promoting international tolerance and instilling the values of cultural diversity amongst all members of society.".

"The celebration sends out an unique cultural message and motivates the growth of a society that utilizes the heritage and variety of its values, custom-mades and people as a stamina, all which is shown in the plethora of activities and events that will cover Abu Dhabi's famous Corniche Beach," H.E. Al Mubarak added.

The Mother of the Nation Festival also includes a number of entertaining creative shows grounded in our nation's multiculturalism, showing UAE's cumulative embrace of various cultures that further enhances the neighborhood.

The Pavilion.
A welcome contrast to the jazzing up energy in the rest of the celebration, The Pavilion will be a place of reflection on the values and vision of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak.

Historic archives, objects, pictures, film and personal testaments, a number of which exhibited for the very first time, will be brought to life in a variety of vibrant zones. Visitors will be led on an engaging trip through the personal history of H.H. Sheikha Fatima, and the uplifting accomplishments of the "Daughters of the Nation".

The Active Zone.
The Active Zone is action-packed with exhibits and shared areas that reflect H.H. Sheikha Fatima's concentrate on healthy families and the fostering of team effort from a young age. Through interactive installations, activity cabanas, and a revitalizing beach lounge, the Active Zone highlights the need for healthy bodies and minds that work together to attain shared objectives.

The Art Zone.
Visitors are invited to experience, connect with, and develop art as they pass through a winding path that leads through a garden of creative activities themed around "the art of motherhood." The core concepts of art, that include unity, balance, contrast, movement, pattern, rhythm, and focus, reflect the essentials for motherhood and are spread out across the Art Zones diverse events and activities.

The artwork both already on display and developed at the celebration commemorates H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak as the Mother of our Nation and to all of the mothers throughout the UAE who influence our households.

The Conservation Zone.
Through interactive experiences that link visitors with the natural land- and seascapes of the UAE, the Conservation Zone provides awareness of our shared environment and the crucial requirement for its defense.

Featuring activities that focus on educating visitors and inviting them to live a sustainable way of life, the Conservation Zone experience is designed to bring families and their kids one action closer to the natural landscape of the UAE. Activities include the Eco Safari, Under the Dome, Environmental Cabanas, and a Fisheries Climbing Sculpture.

The Beach Dining Zone.
Lining the West Plaza of the Corniche, the Beach Dining Zone's restaurants will run as the primary food and drink hub of the festival.
Guests visiting this zone exist with a substantial line-up of food choices and sufficient seating by the beach for a peaceful experience with their families and friends, where they get to taste the best from local and international foods.

The Souq Zone.
A best mix in between world cultures and urban scenery, the Souq Zone represents the rich heritage and cultural exchange that continues to occur within the Emirate.

This zone will include interactive shows and displays, along with a picked selection of regional conventional shops as well as international popular brands.
