42 more candidates enter the race on third day of registration for Federal National Council Elections

Candidate registration centres for the Federal National Council Elections 2015 continued to receive nominations for the third day in all the emirates with the National Election Committee today receiving 42 applications, including 8 from women.

The registration of candidates, which started on Saturday, will continue until August 20 at all the registration centres. According to the timetable for the Federal National Council Elections 2015, the National Election Committee will declare the preliminary list of candidates on August 23, and the final list on August 31. The candidates can request withdrawal of their nomination not later than September 14.

NEC also urged citizens to ensure that their names are in the Electoral College list by visiting the website of the Committee www.uaenec.ae or by contacting NEC call centre 600500005.
