His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, inaugurated the fourth edition of the Al Bader Festival, affirming its vital role in promoting the principles of tolerant Islam and instilling the values of the noble seerah (biography) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) among younger generations.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture at the Fujairah Creative Centre, the festival coincides with the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birth anniversary.

The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority; Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation; H.E. Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat; and H.E. Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture.

Sheikh Mohammed toured the accompanying exhibitions The Glow of Maqamat and Al Burda, which feature artworks by international participants. The collections highlighted the beauty of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) legacy through Islamic art and creative expression.

In his remarks, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized Fujairah’s commitment, under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, to initiatives that consolidate noble values, promote good morals, and strengthen global dialogue. This vision, he noted, is deeply rooted in Islam’s principles of tolerance, coexistence, and shared human values.

Dr. Hamad Al Buqaishi, Secretary General of the Al Bader Initiative, highlighted that this year’s edition offers a diverse program of creative activities, attracting artists, writers, and cultural specialists to celebrate Islamic heritage and the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The festival’s opening included a visual showcase of its journey since inception, followed by a theatrical operetta, The Miracles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), performed by Fujairah school students under the supervision of the Dibba Society for Culture, Arts, and Theatre, and directed by Ibrahim Al Qahoumi, Hamad Al Danhani, and Saeed Suleiman.

Also in attendance were H.E. Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah; H.E. Asma Al Hammadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Creatives Development Sector at the Ministry of Culture; along with senior officials and directors from Fujairah and across the UAE.
