Zurich Middle East Life has announced the appointment of Walter Jopp as its new Chief Executive Officer, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to growth and strategic expansion in the Middle East.

The appointment marks a return to Zurich for Jopp, who previously served as CEO of Zurich International Life, Middle East from 2016 to 2021. During that period, he played a key role in shaping the company’s regional strategy, strengthening partnerships and supporting sustainable business growth.

Walter Kiceleff, CEO of Zurich International Life Solutions, said the appointment reflects Zurich’s confidence in Jopp’s leadership and regional expertise. “We are delighted to welcome Walter Jopp back to Zurich. His deep understanding of the Middle East, combined with extensive global leadership experience, positions him strongly to guide the business into its next phase of growth,” he said.

Jopp brings more than 26 years of experience in the global insurance industry, having held senior leadership roles across Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. His international background and familiarity with regional markets are expected to support Zurich Middle East Life’s strategic priorities and customer-focused approach.
