UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri visited Innovo Group in Dubai to review the company’s use of automation, robotics and digital technologies in construction and project delivery.
The minister led an official delegation to an active Innovo project site, where he was briefed on technologies being deployed to improve productivity, safety, quality and coordination across construction operations. He was received by Bishoy Azmy, CEO of Innovo Group.
Bin Touq highlights technology-driven economic growth
During the visit, Bin Touq said the UAE is continuing to develop an economic model focused on resilience, competitiveness and knowledge, with technology and innovation playing a central role.
He highlighted the UAE’s business environment, including its legislative framework, infrastructure and ease of doing business, as factors supporting companies operating in emerging and technology-driven sectors.
The visit forms part of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism’s efforts to engage with companies developing new-economy solutions and encourage the adoption of technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics across key sectors.
Robotics deployed in live construction environments
The delegation reviewed automation and robotics applications being used across Innovo’s active projects. The technologies are designed to support project teams, improve productivity and assist with tasks carried out in complex construction environments.
Innovo has been expanding its use of physical AI and robotics. In June 2026, the company announced a partnership with FieldAI to deploy general-purpose robots at live construction sites in the Middle East, with the first implementation at Majid Al Futtaim’s Ghaf Woods development in Dubai.
The initial applications include autonomous site progress monitoring, real-time documentation, environmental mapping and data collection.
Digital tools support project monitoring
Bin Touq was also briefed on digital solutions used to monitor workflows and manage operations. According to Innovo, these tools provide real-time visibility across project stages while supporting coordination, oversight and decision-making.
The company uses technologies including Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital twins, LiDAR, 4D AI and IoT solutions as part of its construction technology strategy. Innovo says these systems can support design coordination, project planning, quality control, safety and operational efficiency.
Innovo links technology to productivity and safety
Azmy said the company views technology as a practical tool for addressing challenges encountered in construction projects.
“At Innovo Group, we believe that the true value of technology lies in its practical applications and its capacity to address real-world project challenges,” he said.
He added that integrating digital tools, automation and robotics with construction and engineering expertise is intended to improve safety and quality standards, productivity and project execution.
More than 130 projects across four continents
Innovo operates across the built environment, including construction, engineering, infrastructure, real estate development and advanced project technologies.
The company says it currently has more than 130 ongoing projects across four continents, covering residential developments, villa communities, educational facilities, commercial projects and urban infrastructure.
Its technology strategy includes testing solutions in live project environments before scaling them across its wider operations. Innovo has also partnered with technology companies on AI, digital twins and construction robotics as part of its broader digital transformation programme.
Technology and the UAE's new economy
The minister’s visit comes as construction and real estate companies in the UAE increasingly adopt AI, robotics, digital twins and data-driven project management tools.
For Innovo, the approach combines its construction and engineering operations with emerging technologies to improve project delivery and develop applications suited to real-world construction conditions.
