The Toyota Yaris has won the title of Best Sub-compact Sedan while Toyota Camry has claimed the title of Best Midsize Sedan at the automotive sectors biggest and the most prestigious ceremony in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

At the annual MECOTY awards, the judging panel comprised of 19 highly respected senior editors from the most leading automotive publications in the region who selected the two vehicles based on the set of ten criteria including the design, the exterior and interior quality, and value for money, driver satisfaction, handling and drivability, emotion appeal, safety and durability, comfort and practicality, performance and capability, environmental friendliness, technological innovation and regional appeal.
