Tasjeel Al Barsha outspreads capacity to test an additional 60,000 cars a year

Tasjeel, the UAEs one-stop-shop for all vehicle testing and registration needs, has reopened its testing centre in Al Barsha, Dubai, after a full renovation of the facilities to extend its capacity and improve overall customer experience.

The testing centre reopened this week after six months of wide renovation work that included the addition of an additional test lane and the implementation of On Board Diagnostics (OBD). In the interest of efficacy and to reduce waiting time, the renewed facility features a state-of-the-art German vacuum system to deliver documents and vehicle keys from test bays to the registration building.

The renovated centre, which also includes a more spacious waiting area and a new VIP area, now has capacity to test 200 more cars a day, offering a potential to serve an additional 60,000 cars every year.

Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail, said: The renovations underline our continuous commitment to offering the highest standard of services by incorporating the latest technologies in our centres to enhance the overall customer experience. With the new extended capacity, we will be able to serve additional customers in an efficient and seamless manner, reducing waiting times at our facility.

Speaking at the opening event, Husam Al Shawi, Tasjeel General Manager, said: Business continuity played an important part in our plans to renovate this facility, as our main focus continues to be our customers. During the past six months, we moved our operations to a remote facility to ensure that there wasnt a halt in our service.

It is with great pleasure that we are reopening the centre. Now larger and with the latest technologies to improve our services offering in Dubai, we strive to deliver world-class vehicle testing service that can ensure road safety and limit the effect of emissions on our environment, while adding to the convenience of motorists.

Tasjeel is currently in a process of expansion, with new testing facilities in the UAE. The company recently opened a new testing centre in Sharjah to carry out heavy vehicle testing, which was previously conducted by Sharjah Police; and it also plans to launch three new sites at Dubai World Central, Dubai Motor City and Dubai Investment Park.

A business unit of ENOC Retail, Tasjeel undertakes all mandatory tests that are required for vehicle registration. Currently, Tasjeel owns and operates 10 sites and two mobile units in Dubai and Sharjah, which use state-of-the-art equipment. The technicians are trained on the latest technologies to offer a seamless service
