Second Qualifier of Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge to Tee Off at Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, on Thursday April 24th.

Dubai, UAE, April 19th, 2014 The 16th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC), thethrice-awarded corporate golf tournament and one of the most prestigious sporting events in the region,has announced its second qualifying roundwill be played on Emirates Golf Clubs Faldo Course, Dubai, on Thursday,24thApril 2014. Multiple two-person corporate teamswill participate and the winners will compete in the 2-day grand final hosted on two iconic golf courses, Tower Links Golf Club and Al Hamra Golf Club, along with overnight stay in the magnificent Waldorf Astoria, in the regions emerging golf destination, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Emirates Golf Club, host of the European Toursanctioned Omega Dubai Desert Classic and Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, was established in 1988 and is the first all-grass championship golf course in the Middle East. Offering 36 holes of world-class golf, the club sports two of the city's finest must-play courses, The Majlis and The Faldo Courses, which is also the only 18 hole course in the region to offer night golf.

Andrew Horne, General Manager,XeroxEmirates, said: We have had a great kick-off to this years challenge with 96 executives participating in the first qualifier at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, and are keen to see the numbers swell with each progressive qualifier. This is cementing our 2014 vision of bringing Corporate back into Corporate Golf. We are proud to support the Noor Dubai Foundation, and helpbring a mobile eye camp to a developing part of the world.

Noor Dubai Foundation is the cause that the 2014 Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge is supporting, and the Challenge aims to raise a sum of US$60,000, which is the cost of one mobile Eye Camp to bring 4,000 treatments and up to 500 surgeries in a developing nation.

Alongside the tournaments place getter and on-course competition accolades, this years XCGC gives the change for the best placed Corporate Team, consisting of 2 executives from the same company, to also claim a prize.

Now in its 16th year, the event adds one more qualifying round for a total of twelve, which will be playedin leading golf courses across the Middle East and South Africa. After this round, qualifiers will be held in Doha, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.Golfers can visit the new website, www.xeroxcgc.com, for further detailsregarding all qualifying rounds and registration.
