The project management and technical support contract has been awarded for SNC-Lavalin by Al Yasat Petroleum, United Arab Emirates

SNC-Lavalin declares it has been awarded by Al Yasat Petroleum, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), with a general engineering, project management and technical support service agreement, around an estimated value of $52 million CAD.

In line with the Al Yasat Smart Growth Operating Model, SNC-Lavalin will partner with Al Yasat Petrleum in a three-year contract, extendable for 2 years. The fields of study include conceptual research and design, FEED, implementation planning, comprehensive small-scale engineering and specialist research. In handling subcontracts, procurement services and market surveys, SNC-Lavalin will support Al Yasat.

SNC-Lavalin will also provide its digital knowledge as part of this contract to assist Al Yasat with the ambitious digital transformation plan using state-of - the-art techniques. Support for projects involves project services and the provision of Al Yasat staff as part of a comprehensive project management team.

Al-Yasat is a powerful and productive planning and growth for new fields, both onshore and offshore, covering two concession regions in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The onshore concession area is located to the Southwest of Abu Dhabi and measures 7800 km, the offshore concession area is located to the Northwest of Abu Dhabi and covers six fields with a total area of 582 km. The offshore region is composed of the Bu Haseer, Belbazem, Umm Al Dholou, Umm Al Salsal, and Yaser areas.
