Parkin Makes Global Debut at UITP Summit 2025 in Hamburg, Launches Parking Transformation Working Group

Parkin Company PJSC (“Parkin”), the largest paid public parking operator in Dubai, has marked a significant milestone with its debut on the international stage at the 2025 UITP Global Public Transport Summit in Hamburg, Germany. Representing the UAE alongside Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Parkin highlighted its pioneering role in smart mobility and sustainable urban infrastructure.

The UITP Summit, recognized as the world’s premier event in public transportation, saw Parkin unveil its latest innovations, including advanced smart parking technologies, operational systems, and plans to integrate electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Dubai. The company also offered live demonstrations of the Parkin mobile app, emphasizing its seamless user experience and digital-first approach to urban mobility.

Showcasing Dubai’s Mobility Vision

With a portfolio of over 207,000 managed paid parking spaces, Parkin showcased its comprehensive digital capabilities and next-generation innovations to global audiences and key dignitaries, including His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s RTA.

Among the standout technologies was a prototype AI-powered enforcement system that discreetly integrates with urban features like lighting poles and traffic signage, contributing to Dubai’s sustainability objectives and aesthetic appeal.

Global Leadership Through Strategic Collaboration

During the summit, Parkin further solidified its international influence through the official launch of the Global Parking Transformation Working Group, a strategic initiative established in partnership with UITP earlier this year. The working group, chaired by Parkin CEO Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, convened for its inaugural meeting during the summit.

This high-level session attracted leaders from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Key discussion points included:

  • Reimagining parking as a key enabler of integrated, sustainable mobility

  • Leveraging AI-driven systems for smarter enforcement and management

  • Establishing frameworks for innovation exchange and impact measurement

Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali emphasized the evolving role of parking in shaping urban environments, stating:

“Reshaping mobility to support greener, safer and more liveable cities requires a fundamental shift in how we think about parking infrastructure. At Parkin, we see our role as helping cities unlock this potential, by building the right platforms, enabling informed choices and reimagining parking as the driver of sustainable urban life.”

Dubai to Host UITP Summit 2026

The 2025 edition concluded with an exciting announcement: Dubai will host the next UITP Global Summit in 2026, cementing the city’s position as a global hub for mobility innovation. The decision highlights the UAE’s commitment to advancing smart, inclusive, and sustainable urban transport solutions.

Parkin’s debut at the UITP Summit and its leadership role in launching the Parking Transformation Working Group underscores its growing influence on the global mobility stage—aligning with Dubai’s broader ambitions to lead in smart city and infrastructure development.
