Palo Alto Networks Unveils Enterprise-Wide Quantum Security Readiness for Multicloud Environments
Palo Alto Networks® (NASDAQ: PANW), a global leader in cybersecurity, has announced new enterprise-wide quantum security readiness solutions designed to help organizations navigate the emerging quantum landscape and strengthen protection across multicloud and AI-driven environments.
The company introduced two key innovations aimed at providing enterprises with enhanced visibility, agility, and advanced defenses to accelerate their quantum readiness. The announcement underscores Palo Alto Networks’ commitment to ensuring customers are prepared for the future of cybersecurity as quantum computing begins to challenge traditional encryption standards.
Quantum-Ready Security Innovations
Anand Oswal, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Network Security at Palo Alto Networks, emphasized the urgency of quantum preparedness.
“The quantum threat to encryption is no longer theoretical; it’s an inevitability that demands action now,” said Oswal. “With these latest innovations covering the entire quantum readiness lifecycle, we are pioneering the defense for this new era. Every Palo Alto Networks customer using our latest software will be able to accelerate their journey to becoming quantum safe.”
The company’s comprehensive quantum-readiness approach includes:
-
Quantum Readiness Dashboard: Provides Next-Generation Firewall and Secure Access Service Edge customers with complete visibility and control over cryptographic risks.
-
Cipher Translation: An industry-first feature that instantly upgrades applications lacking quantum-safe encryption to meet future-proof standards.
-
Quantum-Optimized Hardware: Fourteen new fifth-generation Next-Generation Firewall models designed to process post-quantum cryptography (PQC) at scale.
Industry and Enterprise Endorsements
Pete Finalle, Research Manager at IDC, noted the significance of these advancements.
“The urgency to achieve quantum readiness, combined with multicloud complexity and AI advancements, has created a fragmented security landscape. Palo Alto Networks addressing quantum computing threats with ‘crypto agility’ is a key differentiator,” he said.
Several major organizations have endorsed the updates, highlighting their role in enabling secure scalability. Mehdi Lahrech, Senior Manager of Hybrid Cloud Networking at the NBA, said the platform supports delivering secure, high-performance digital experiences. Similarly, Scott Moser, Chief Information Security Officer at Sabre, stressed that the company’s innovation aligns with their need to mitigate evolving cyber risks while driving global travel solutions.
Future of Multicloud and AI Security
The latest release also introduces Cloud Network and AI Risk Assessment, which evaluates risks across every cloud and AI asset. The system automatically deploys software firewalls, cloud firewalls, and Prisma® AIRS™ instances while enabling secure traffic steering across a multicloud networking mesh. With native scaling and load balancing, the solution eliminates reliance on additional point products, simplifying network security for enterprises operating in dynamic digital ecosystems.
By delivering the industry’s first platform that automatically discovers, deploys, and scales security for multicloud and AI environments, Palo Alto Networks is positioning itself at the forefront of enterprise cybersecurity evolution.
