Kerno opens UAE’s first enterprise-class technology manufacturing facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis
Kerno Enterprises has opened the UAE’s first enterprise-class technology manufacturing facility to partners and media through an exclusive preview tour at Dubai Silicon Oasis, marking a significant step in localising advanced IT hardware and microelectronics production.
The invite-only event, held on February 10, offered partners, customers, and media representatives a first look at the company’s end-to-end enterprise IT manufacturing capabilities within the UAE. The tour highlighted Kerno’s full production lifecycle — from research and development to final assembly and quality assurance — aimed at strengthening domestic technology manufacturing capacity.
According to the company, the facility is designed to reduce lead times, localise intellectual property, and enable secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure production at scale — capabilities that were previously limited in the local market.
Visitors were guided by Kerno’s R&D and engineering teams through multiple operational zones, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Technology (THT) areas, server and UPS rooms, testing and custom solution manufacturing units, assembly lines, quality assurance stages, and outbound logistics docks.
Chris Caswell, CEO and Co-Founder of Kerno, said the facility demonstrates that enterprise-grade technology manufacturing can be built and scaled locally to global standards for mission-critical use. He noted that the company has established integrated local capabilities spanning R&D, engineering, and full-cycle production.
Evgeny (Gene) Ostrovskiy, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, said the company’s strategy goes beyond localisation, aiming to contribute to the UAE’s technological sovereignty while building long-term commercial and technology partnerships with global industry leaders. He added that the initiative lays the groundwork for a sustainable advanced manufacturing sector in the country.
The Dubai Silicon Oasis facility has an initial production capacity of more than 60,000 enterprise systems per year, with room for future expansion as operations scale. It is intended to support domestic demand for locally manufactured digital infrastructure and contribute to the UAE’s broader technology and industrial ecosystem.
Kerno said the plant features SMT lines, automated assembly lines, and ISO 7 cleanroom environments for microelectronics manufacturing. Technical capabilities include precision component placement down to 15 micrometres, 3D optical inspection and X-ray PCB verification, and a throughput capacity of up to 180,000 microelectronic components per hour. Process monitoring systems are integrated across production stages.
Operations are supported by UAE-based R&D teams, local IP ownership, dedicated engineering resources, a globally diversified supply chain, and local customer support services. The structure is designed to meet enterprise and data-centre performance standards while shortening procurement and deployment timelines.
Kerno’s product portfolio includes enterprise AI servers for training and inference workloads, powered by the latest high-performance GPUs from leading semiconductor manufacturers, including NVIDIA and AMD. The range also covers universal x86 servers, data storage systems, analytics platforms, and enterprise infrastructure solutions for mission-critical and data-centre environments.
The facility launch reflects ongoing national investments in digital infrastructure and advanced technology manufacturing across the UAE.
