Over 700 GEMS Students Display Their Inventions at Maker Day Abu Dhabi

GEMS Education's Abu Dhabi network of schools hosted Manufacturer Day Abu Dhabi 2017 at GEMS American Academy on 29 April.

The Maker Day gave a wide range of student-led activities, from developing scribbler robots to programmable Legos, style infused with modern technology, art display screens, community action exhibits, music performances, and an expedition of the solar system inside the GEMS American Academy planetarium.

Michael Gernon, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Innovation, Research and Development, GEMS Education, stated: "This occasion is created to influence 21st century students to check out creative methods to assist boost the world around them. Maker Day is a great platform for young pioneers to join some of the brightest minds in the country, and at GEMS, we continuously strive to furnishing our trainees with essential skills to be successful in their careers."

Over 1,000 community members existed, including trainees, parents and instructors that gathered to participate in a celebration of innovation, with a focus on shutting the global skills gap

Partners such as Easy Peasy Coding, Masdar Innovation Center, Edutech, and Computer system Explorers provided hands-on knowing experiences for participants to take part in drone simulations, virtual reality, and coding.

Earlier this year, over 4,000 students, families, investors, and developers took part at the First annual Global Innovation Difficulty - formerly called Maker Day - released by GEMS Education and Silicon Valley's Selfhood University, at GEMS Wellington Academy, Silicon Oasis, Dubai.
