Also, Thunder Snow, brought in more laurels with his Emirati handler Saeed bin Suroor, making himself stand out of the crowd, to create a name of his own.

In fact, the Godolphin hero has had back-to-back winners thrice before. As of now, Suroor is the most successful trainer at the Dubai World Cup with as much as nine titles 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2014, 2015, 2018 and lastly 2019 being the latest in the list.

The day proved lucky for Soumillon too, who went on to become a multiple winner of the race. The tense battle between Thunder Snow and Salem bin Ghadayers Gronkowski pulled the audience to the edge of their seats before it culminated in a photo finish that confirmed the victory of Thunder Snow.
