Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation concludes Future Skills Winter Forum 2025
The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has concluded the Future Skills Winter Forum 2025, an educational initiative aimed at developing scientific, technological and innovation-related competencies among students aged 10 to 22.
Organised by the Hamdan Bin Rashid Center for Giftedness and Innovation, the forum provided a specialised learning platform that combined applied education, talent development and interactive experiences through an integrated programme of training courses and workshops.
The forum featured more than ten specialised training programmes across talent and innovation tracks. These included foundational and applied initiatives such as Smart TECH Explorers, Humanoid Robot, FIRST LEGO League, CubeSat, and The 5 Buckets. Innovation-focused programmes addressed practical applications of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, community-based solutions and digital agriculture, through initiatives such as AI Smart Air Monitor, Community Arcade Challenge, and Digital Green Farm.
Participants engaged in project-based learning and collaborative teamwork within environments designed to enhance creativity, problem-solving and hands-on scientific exploration.
His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, said the Future Skills Forum is one of the Foundation’s flagship initiatives and reflects its commitment to creating innovative educational environments that empower students with future-ready skills. He added that the forum supports applied learning and enables students to discover their potential while expanding their scientific and technological knowledge.
In addition to student-focused activities, the forum included a dedicated dialogue session for parents of gifted students, highlighting the importance of family engagement in nurturing talent. The session provided parents with insights into available educational pathways and their role in supporting their children’s academic and innovative development.
The forum concluded with an interactive scientific programme that featured the recognition of participants, a student project exhibition, and scientific presentations and competitions. Students showcased projects developed during the forum, demonstrating the practical outcomes of the training programmes and the technical skills acquired.
The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation reaffirmed that the Future Skills Winter Forum forms part of its ongoing efforts to support talent and innovation and to develop modern educational models that prepare future generations with the scientific and technological competencies needed to meet emerging global challenges.
