Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation Concludes 2 nd Translation Workshop
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Structure (MBRF) concluded the second translation workshop - part of the Dubai International Writing Program - which occurred on July 2-6, 2017.
The workshop enlisted experts in book translation from worldwide to train a generation of regional young professionals in the field, and to, ultimately, trigger and sustain a large translation movement in the larger Arab world. Seven trainees participated in the workshop, where translator and mentor Kamel Yousef Hussein carried out an intensive program, touching upon the fundamentals of literary translation and adaptation, covering books, stories, write-ups, verse, theatre, bio, and traveling literature.
Falling under the umbrella of the Dubai International Writing Program, these workshops seek to develop individuals' translation and adjustment abilities across many disciplines," kept in mind MBRF's CEO His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb.
